Improving on the original Z9, the enhanced BlueAnt Z9i Bluetooth headset incorporates a number of new features and packaged accessories with a focus on comfort and wearability. BlueAnt has refined its Voice Isolation Technology software to improve the Z9i's noise suppression, echo cancellation and wind noise reduction capabilities.

The Z9i incorporates dual microphones allowing for BlueAnt's patented Voice Isolation Technology, a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) software solution that uses advanced techniques to separate the user's voice signal from all other sounds, enhancing and isolating all frequencies that affect voices coming into and out of the headset. Sound clarity on user's end poor

I only used this headset twice and decided to return it. Everyone I spoke to told me they could hear me clearly. Sound quality was excellent on their end. One person complained about background noise when I was in my car, so I set the noise cancellation to maximum and they said that took care of the background noise. The sound clarity on my end was a different story. I often had to ask people to repeat what they said. Deep voices seemed a bit clearer than higher-pitched voices, but I was quite frustrated with having to try to interpret what people were saying. Also, there was an intermittent background static on the headset. I could hear it, but the people I spoke with could not. I upgraded the firmware from the BlueAnt website, but it didn't help.
I bought this headset after my Plantronics 510 died after 2 years of use. I wanted to try something with more functionality. Needless to say, I'll be going back to the Plant 510 because the most important thing to me is sound clarity.

After purchasing the same bluetooth for the wife at Sams Club for $30 more. I decided to get my own. I am very pleased with all aspects of this product. Good sound, good pickup, and comfortable to wear. I like the added clip to pin to my shirt. It beats wearing in the ear or carrying in my pocket when not in use..

Tried lots of bluetooth from Motorola, Jabra, Jawbone...
Blueant is the best for voice qulity.
The battery life could be better since it will shut down after a short time warning. I charge it everyday because I use it for a long time everyday.

I was more than happy with this product. Ive tried many other brands and types of bluetooth headsets and this is the best one Ive had. Connection is great. No static. Voice quality is amazing. Small and cute.. good design for females :) I would very much recommend this product to other people. Very happy with it.

Good headset, Could use better noise isolation though.

Nice product overall. Although the noise isolation isn't as good as the Jawbone which is by far the best with killing the background noises. This unit is nice and small, can barely tell its there for the most part. The voice activation doesn't work well at all. I haven't been able to make a successful call using it yet. The volume on the unit is nice. I use it with a BB Curve 8330. Syncs to it flawlessly. Very few disconnects. For the office person this is a great headset, but if you plan to use it outside much, then i would recommend the Jawbone for that purpose.
