Designed for consumers, the zBoost dual band cell phone signal booster extends a zBoost Cell Zone for single or multiple users in homes or offices simulatneously.

Satisfy all your cellular phone needs with the Wireless Extenders YX510-PCS/CEL zBoost zP Wireless Booster, which works with both cellular frequencies (800 and 1900 MHz) and can extend cellular coverage up to 2500 square feet. This unit can handle signals from all the major cellular carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Alltel. The package includes everything you need: amplifier base unit, power supply, base unit antenna, low-loss SATV coaxial cable (RG6), signal antenna and mounting hardware. The omni-directional signal antenna receives signals from multiple cell towers.

Improve your cell signal with the dual-band YX510-PCS/CEL--perfect for boosting the signal of AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon frequencies up to 2500 square feet.
Using a revolutionary, patent pending technology that protects the carrier network, the YX510 improves indoor cell phone coverage by capturing and repeating the outside signal, bringing it into the building and enhancing it. This process creates a "Cell Zone" in your home or office.

The Wireless Extenders zBoost system includes:

  • Outdoor antenna (repeats the signal) can be installed outdoors above the roofline or indoors in the attic or near a window
  • Coax cable (RG6- ultra low-loss, DBS satellite) connects from the outdoor antenna to the base unit
  • Base unit: Sleekly designed, it amplifies the signal and provides oscillation detection/correction which protects the carrier network using patent-pending technology.
  • Indoor antenna connects to the base unit to repeat the signal and create "Cell Zone"--no physical connection to the phone is needed.

Installation
Choosing the best location for installation of the Signal Antenna provides the best performance and the largest area of improved signal. Determine the location that provides the strongest signal using the signal strength indicator on your cell phone. For the best reception, find the location that provides the most bars of signal strength and locate the Signal Antenna at that location.

« Can You Hear Me NOW! »
I started with the cheap decal "signal boosters" you peel & stick to the inside of your cellphone. Then I got an add-on extendable antenna. Then I bit the hand grenade and shelled out the $300 for this booster. I have the antenna mounted in the highest peak of my attic, snaked the coax cord down through a corner of a closet, to the base in my office. It worked. The range is limited, about 25 feet, but I have cell service again. It's frustrating to have to build my own "cellphone tower" for AT&T, but thats about what it boils down to.

« Range much less than promised »
I was getting 1 to 2 bars in most of my house, no signal in the basement. On my roof I could get 4 to 5 bars so I thought this would be just what I needed to get reliable calls anywhere in the house. I mounted the antenna on the roof, ran the coax cable down to our kitchen (which is more or less centrally situated in the house. I then was able to get 4 to 5 bars in the kitchen (sometimes 2 or 3 if I was on the far side of the kitchen opposite the antenna, which is in one corner. In the rest of the house I see no improvement in the signal at all. I then ordered the upgrade antennas (xy-029 directional exterior, and xy-027 interior ) but saw no improvement at all. I returned the two upgrade antennas and am living with the original setup. At least I can make and receive calls in my kitchen.

    « Works Great! »
I bought this because I live out in the country and cell signal is limited at best. In the house it was almost impossible to get a signal and make a call. We installed this and put the antenna on an outside 30 foot CB tower we no longer used. The receiver sits on a table in the house. We immediately got 4 or 5 bars depending on where you are in the house. Let me add I live in a very old farm house (150 yrs+) with 15 inch thick brick walls. This unit will pick up a cell call and keep it connected even if you are outside the house. We have Sprint as our carrier and have had no problem. I can also use it with my Kindle for downloading books.

This did not work in the second location used. If you don't get a signal outside the house, amplifying nothing still is nothing. In another location where we had an outside signal but the walls were concrete and steel (a former bank), the unit worked great. They give a 30 money back guarantee so it gives you time to try it.

« zBoost Cell Phone signal booster »
This signal booster works great for me. I get 5 bars with 3G on my iPhone with AT&T. I was not able to get the 15 feet vertical separation between signal and base antennas recommended, but I was able to get good performance by increasing the horizontal separations between antennas. In general, there are a number of ways to get good performance.
