The sleek Plantronics M110 headset for mobile and cordless phones is a nice little unit that sits comfortably even during the longest hands-free conversations. It can also provide added safety to your cellular phone calls when driving because both hands can remain on the wheel. The M110 features a sturdy headband, padded flexible earpiece and headpiece, and a fully adjustable microphone. It required no assembly and, in our experience, was extremely versatile. The microphone can be worn with the headband on either ear, and the headband was very light and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The sound quality of the earpiece and microphone were both very clear during testing. A noise-canceling microphone eliminates background noise on the M110, and makes your voice easily understandable to callers. There are also three levels of microphone volume, though there is no volume adjustment for the earpiece and, in our tests, we often had to ask callers to speak up. The headset has a 4-foot cord with adjustable clothing clip to give you a wide range of motion. The M110 can be used with any cordless or cellular phone that's headset compatible and has a 2.5-millimeter jack. --Megan Dugan Pros: - Reversible microphone and earpiece
- 4-foot cord and clothing clip

The Complete Home & Office Headset
»
After a prolonged search that included testing several overpriced and worthless headsets with my cordless land line phones, I finally came across a winner. Sleek, comfortable, inexpensive, and durable, the Plantronics M110 delivers.
This quality model offers comfortable, flexible/reversible earpiece, heavy duty headband, and fully adjustable mini boom microphone. Clarity for both the earpiece and the noise canceling microphone is simply outstanding. The microphone offers 3 volume settings. The earpiece is set at a comfortable fixed volume. The Plantronics M110 4 foot cord comes with an adjustable garment clip.
With its 2.5mm jack this unit pairs well with both Pansonic land line systems and LG cell phones. The M110 comes out of the box fully assembled and with a one year manufacturer's warranty. Without a doubt, the Plantronics M110 Headset is an affordable and reliable home or office tool. It has worked so well for me that I am ordering a backup.

Low Quality Sound with this one
»
I have always had a tough time finding a headset that worked well. I purchased three (this one, a Uniden 'behind the ear' model and a Panasonic KX-TCA60) to replace the Plantronics headset that broke, after 8 months of use. I called my son (out of state) and asked him to judge the sound quality of all three.
The Plantronics had the worst sound quality by far. It was so bad that I threw it away. (Good comfort factor, though.)
The Uniden had the highest sound quality and by far the lowest comfort. It was very poorly constructed, and hurt my ear at the spot the plastic head band rested on it. I am keeping it as a back up.
The Panasonic was well constructed, and had a sound quality that was only slightly lower than the Uniden, but the comfort factor was very high, so it is now the one I use daily.

Meh....

I got excited about this product mostly because of the style. I liked the idea of having a secure-fitting headset with a microphone in close proximity to the mouth. And it worked fairly well. It was comfortable for long periods, although the headband is very small and I had to adjust it to its largest size; even then I felt that I was bending it too much. The microphone volume adjustment works well, and is handy when making different calls; some people may think you are too loud or too soft, and it is easy to adjust. The sound quality is very good on both ends.
I ended up returning this product, and here's why:
Used with a Motorola v197 phone, it was extremely susceptible to interference. Hold your cell phone next to a pair of regular headphones or speakers while it is being used and you will know what I'm talking about. The noise was almost constant, sometimes quieter, sometimes louder, but virtually unavoidable. It was heard on both ends of the conversation and got to be too much for me.
Please note that I did not test this with a cordless land-line phone.
